We will visit the Regional Park of Calblanque on a trail that passes through a small path of trees where we can see the Sabina Cartagenera "Tetraclinis articulata". Further on we will go to the salt flats of the Rassall. Here we'll be able to enjoy the diversity of animals and plants characteristic of the Southeast Iberian Peninsula.
The aridity of the climate and its location are likely for species of birds like the mountain crested larks "Galerida theklae" and various warblers such as the Dartford "Sylvia undata" and the Sardinian "Sylvia melanocephala".
Later on we will visit the Geomorphological Park, the large fossil Dune, jewels that breaks with the Mediterranean Sea and from where we can see, on the one hand, the formations with their associated plants as well as several seabird species: the tern Plover "Sterna sandvicensis", the Balearic Shearwaters/Mediterranean "Puffinus mauretanicus / yekouan", Shearwater "Calonectris diomedea" and the Shag "Phalacrocorax aristotelis". We will see seagulls of the Mediterranean, the Audouin Gull "Larus audouinii", found in the saltlakes area for resting and feeding.
The route is designed in Calblanque which is one of the most emblematic and best preserved regional parks in the Region of Murcia. It is characterized by its landscape diversity, combining beaches, coves, fossil dunes, saltlakes and precoastal mountain vegetation adapted to the climatic conditions of the environment. Its rich bird community is represented by different families, mostly seabirds, which are one of the biggest attractions of the Park.
The nocturnal birds of prey like owls "Bubo bubo" and common OWL "Athene noctua" present a stable population in the area.
On the other hand, the Sabina Mora, Cartagena or Araar "Tetraclinis articulata" is a tree which has its European distribution area at the Southeast peninsula, with the majority of specimens in the murcian coastal zone only. The Palm ' Chamaerops humili ", although somewhat more widespread on the peninsula, has a high representation in this place.
